PERSERVING CULTURE
THROUGH PHILANTHROPIC GRANTS
Our Grant Programs
-
YOUTH SPORTS
The CFLF Youth Sports Grant provides funding in hopes of inspiring young athletes in the Hmong community. CFLF aims to assist families who lack the resources to pay for their children’s sports events. Individual grants can be used for registration, equipment and other associated fees for sports classes, recreational leagues, and travel.
-
SCHOLARSHIPS
The CFLF Higher Education Grant provides monies to help students pay school-related expenses. The program is open to any Hmong scholars who are pursuing a post-high school education at a community, vocational, state or university college.
-
CULTURAL ARTS
The CFLF Cultural Arts Grant provides grants to artists that are engaged as part of the cultural life of the Hmong people. These expressions should be reflective of a community’s shared standards of beauty, values, or life experiences. Traditional arts are often passed on from one generation to the next, or from one community member to another, and express collective wisdom, rather than only a unique personal aesthetic.
-
HMONG-LAO VETERANS RECOVERY
The CFLF Recovery Grant will assist Hmong veterans who are having difficulties in our communities. We would like to honor Hmong veterans for their valiant acts. Given that Hmong veterans are not eligible for military benefits, this fund will help those who are currently having trouble paying for medical bills, food pantries, shelter, or utilities assistance.
